Description

Remembrance was written upon the passing away of one of the greatest influences in jazz – pianist Bill Evans. The transparent colors are reminiscent of his incredible lyricism and touch. The piece was originally commissioned and recorded by bass trombonist David Taylor. It was also recorded by David Liebman on »Classique« (Owl/EMI) in 1991. It is adaptable to any solo instrument.
Solo parts are included for C concert, B flat, E flat and bass clef instruments.
Instrumentation:
flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon and solo-instrument
